Among the many ways I use the little I have to help others, one of them is significant: Now, on my birthday, I opt to donate to an orphanage rather than use the money for a party. I feel that my purpose is fulfilled in this way, and in the end the people touched by this act can give thanks to God. I also hope that others will be influenced by my act enough to follow suit, just as mine has decided to do. younger sister. The most frequent opportunity I am given to help people is to encourage my friends and family. As simple as it may sound, I have realized that it helps clear their mind of worries and brightens their dreary day. Sometimes, all we need is someone to talk to and a little encouragement, as this is one of the key ways to deal with life's challenges. My compassion for people and my interest in the human mind inspired my aspiration to become a psychiatrist. The world we live in today is being rapidly destroyed by depression, and the human mind is such a delicate aspect of what makes us who we are that we must take note of the burdens we place upon it. Depression knows no age group, social status or occupation and therefore can occur in anyone. When I become a psychiatrist I would be better equipped and have the appropriate experience in treating depression in people living with mental illness. Many people living with mental illness are constantly at war in their minds, and this affects their relationships with others and even their relationship with God is not left out. I hope to one day create an opportunity for people living with mental illness to be closer to God, through the ministry of the Gospel in partnership with a health service
