By creating stricter gun laws we can truly ensure that only the right people will be able to handle such dangerous weapons. While many believe that taking guns away from society is like taking away the Second Amendment, or the right to bear arms, statistics show that most citizens don't even rely on guns to protect their homes. The guns “that have inflicted pain and death so disproportionately are owned by a distinct minority of Americans: just one in six adults” (Media 18). In general, a gun may protect someone in their home, but it will harm the community elsewhere. Only by making some changes through media and gun law reform can society truly see a change and decrease in the amount of guns
