Today, the education of women is just as challenging as that of their male counterparts. In my experience with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I was trained just as hard, if not harder, by my professor than many male students. It focuses on the use of leverage, technique, balance and control of the opponent. These techniques are practical because they allow a smaller, weaker person to have a better chance of defending themselves against a larger opponent.
