During my professional seminar II and field experience I observed in Mary Doe's fourth grade classroom. During this observation I witnessed the effects of a learning environment designed by students for students. I was exposed to a very diverse classroom and learned the importance of teaching for student differences. Students are not the same, and when the needs of a classroom are not met students can quickly become frustrated and discouraged from learning. When student needs are met, students are able to interact with their peers without frustration and with guidance can maintain a safe learning environment. Students are social by nature, and with the right teaching strategies and good classroom management, teachers can foster a positive learning environment. .
