Once information is transmitted to a recipient, that information is sent permanently. Messages cannot be uncommunicated. The messages we send every day are irrecoverable. We cannot reverse the act of communication, although we can try to minimize the results of the message sent. However, this does not negate the act of communicating information. Once a message has been sent, it can no longer be taken back. I have made numerous statements when I was angry and have always regretted them afterwards. Unfortunately, I cannot “undo” anything I have said, as they are eternal and cannot be undone. I have said many hurtful things to my boyfriend in times of conflict, and sad to say, I cannot undo or alter the damage my words have caused. Regardless of what I say to try to change the impression my words left on him, I cannot take back what I said. You cannot take back anything you have communicated, for it is eternal. Saying, "I didn't mean what I said," does not reverse the effect of any message being conveyed, because it does not eradicate what was
