I took a writing development course a few years ago and my teacher was always very positive. When I needed help with my writing, instead of receiving a negative comment on my assignment, he showed me different ways to edit the essay to make it look better. After receiving an A in that course, I finally realized that English wasn't my weakness, but my attitude toward English was. However, I'm always nervous about how my writing will turn out. Will the reader like it? Does it make sense? But I have a lot more confidence now than when I was in high school. A very useful tool that I picked up from the advice of almost everyone I knew was reading books. I hated reading for 23 years of my life, but I decided to give it a try. Now that I'm about to turn 25, I've finally started reading novels, usually focusing in the romance category. I feel like the way romance novels are written, the authors always give so much detail, but not so much that it becomes boring. Reading novels gives me a good idea of what the difference is between a good ending and a bad ending, as well as what the good and bad details are
