Furthermore, international organizations have taken many decisions to protect the environment and environmental resources such as the Kyoto Protocol which decided to increase the use of solar energy to 50% of total global energy consumption by 2020 (UNFCCC, 2005 ). Recently, these problems have led the Saudi government to realize problems, such as air pollution, and start investing in the clean energy sector, but not as expected. These days many people in Saudi Arabia support the use of clean energy and its replacement with fossil fuels.
