Topic > Does love exist in the heart of the city? - 1895

New York, the city of love, right? Wait no, that's Paris. SHIT. What is New York for? Oh yes, business. Everything in the city is related to business. Even love in the city is a business. Jay-Z and Beyoncé may be a love story, but in the end the relationship works because they are on the same level and have the same business standards. So I believe love is driven by motivations. I know, the assumption is cynical, but I truly believe that in a city like New York there is some reason that drives every little thing. Platonic love also has motivations. Hov's song “Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)” says, simply, that there is no love in the heart of the city. He claims that with more money comes more problems. He is talked about because he is a businessman, he has no time for bullshit. With success comes jealousy from those around you, whether they are being fake to you and pretending to like you or not. He says that she is just trying to screw him and that his only concern is his business. Even though he is so interested in the work aspect of his life, he has all the luxuries he wants deep down, so at this point he just wants the simple pleasures of life. I consider one of the hearts of the city to be Penn Station. It is always crowded with people traveling to places all over the country. The possibilities of places to travel are endless. One Tuesday evening I decided to go to Penn Station to explore the reasons and forces that drive people to travel and why. I walk around the station which always seems to have this food smell that I can't get enough of. Maybe because there's a Taco Bell there? I don't know, I just know I like some Taco Bell, so I go to Taco Bell. Unfortunately... middle of paper... There's definitely some truth to what Jay-Z is talking about, but when there's true, unmotivated love in town it's extremely priceless. Love is a source of happiness in life; it is a psychological necessity. When it is pure it is healthy, but when it is not, problems arise. Even if this is the case, people try to force connections and love due to hidden incentives. When this is the case, you better believe it could end badly. To the Columbia girl, I hope all is well with you. To Whiny and his minions, I hope no one gets hurt in this situation. And finally, to the brothers I met in Union Square, I hope nothing, especially a bad girl or boy, comes between you two. And for everyone else in town looking for love, there's no right or wrong place to look, but guard your heart and try to gauge whether it's healthy or just motivated.
