This implies that there is no relationship between different cells and there is practically no movement between cells. As a result, material handling costs increase dramatically, resulting in numerous accidents. Data relating to the products made by the company were collected and 900 different products were found depending on the brand, size, weight, volume and so on, but they can be classified into 120 different categories based on the generic name. The company has 12 work centers/cells to produce these products and the main task is to develop alternative layout design in CM (intra and inter design) environment. From an in-depth investigation it was also found that 90% of the machining centers have only one machine, so there is no need to develop the intra-cell layout plan and now only the inter-cell layout design with constraints needs to be carried out imposed by the company and some of these, some work centers cannot be repositioned as they require a special environment created around them and if a reposition is made in the work centers, it is necessary to carry out reinstallation of the environment, which means which will cost the company a large amount of money, also some machining centers should be close since they share the same utilities, such as the mixing tank. The models were prepared satisfying all the constraints and presented to the decision makers, impressed by these models they imposed some further constraints and then the models were revised and new models were created accepting all the restrictions.
