With each book read, a person automatically chooses a favorite character. The character is often chosen based on resemblance to oneself or admirable traits a person would like to have. In Midnights Summer Dream there are many characters that you wish were the best. It would certainly be a difficult decision between the intrepid Helen, the loving Lysander, the demanding Demetrius, the righteous Theseus, and the admirable Hippolyta. However, my favorite character in A Midsummer Night's Dream is Helena for many reasons, including: her devotion, her courage, and her love. The first reason Helena is my favorite character in A Midsummer Night's Dream is her devotion. Once Helena was in love with Demetrius who loved her back.
