Workplace accidents are a growing concern for many organizations. It is the Human Resources department that must implement a workforce safety strategy that is effective and understandable. In order for employees to understand the importance of workplace safety, they must be informed about correct performance in the workplace. Other factors that can reduce accidents are the adoption of a policy indicating the measures to be taken to prevent accidents, the responsibility of safety personnel, the setting of expectations, inspections, adequate working conditions and training. The Occupational Health and Safety Act is determined to eliminate all accidents and injuries at work. Safe at Work Ontario is the compliance strategy designed by the Ministry of Labour, which aims to; improve the working environment, minimize workplace injuries and illnesses, reduce healthcare systems and establish equal opportunities for companies filing complaints. It is a legal obligation for all companies to educate their employees on this topic and provide standard working conditions. The Ontario Ministry of Labor enforces the law through periodic workplace inspections to ensure workplaces meet these standards. All businesses must comply with and enforce occupational health and safety law so that no accidents or fatalities occur. A strong and safe workplace will be built on competence; adequate knowledge and training, commitment; demonstration by the employer of correct safety and ability; ample resources to prevent injuries. Risk-free working conditions are a value for employees and employers to ensure that the working environment is a clean and practical space.
