Additionally, prostitution on the Vancouver Eastside has a high incidence of HIV infection. The unstable environment gives pause to many citizens... middle of paper... in 1977 up to 7,715 in 1995. Over the last 18 years in Canada, criminal activities involving prostitution have increased more and more. If Canadians don't act quickly to illegalize prostitution, crimes will continue to increase as more and more women harm themselves. A recent study shows that many incidents of prostitution have increased in Canada over the past two decades. Simply put, the streets should not be filled with women traveling in search of money. For their safety, all prostitutes should not sacrifice their body to the public, avoid night dangers and any possible predators out there. If Canada made prostitution illegal, everyone in society would surely be much safer towards the environment and prostitutes would stop as soon as possible. Once they realize how terrible this road will be, they will never be able to go back.
