Topic > Relationship Problems - 1801

Several arguments and disagreements between countries can be found throughout our history on this Earth. A relationship less known to many people is that between the two Asian countries, Japan and South Korea. Japan and South Korea are two countries trapped by their past that they share with each other and have shared for more than thirty-five years. Although the two countries are slightly similar in terms of customs and other different aspects, they are also very different in cultures and beliefs. However, different cultures and beliefs are not the only reasons that keep Japan and South Korea apart. Their history is the main reason why Japan and South Korea do not have a strong relationship with each other. Japan and South Korea have a long history. With a history of colonial rule and lack of trust in Japan, South Korea chooses not to ally with Japan and not to trust Japan. Although the two countries have worked to stabilize their relationship, they still need to overcome some issues and their past. South Korea may never learn to overcome its long relationship with Japan, but it may be able to work around the problem. The volatile relationship between Japan and South Korea could be improved by sharing more of their different cultures or through a military alliance between them. The relationship between Japan and South Korea is known as a “quasialliance” (Cooney 9). South Korea and Japan are both allies of the United States, but Japan and South Korea still remain non-allied to each other. Japan and South Korea still maintain a volatile relationship that could be improved dramatically. They still have to overcome their differences and forget their past. Even if the two count... in the middle of the card... always people can go and whenever they can happen. Some consequences may occur, but many benefits are also possible. Japan and South Korea have the potential to become allies. If they were to become allies they would become an extremely strong force in the Asian world. The process may take some time, but eventually the two countries will be able to see some issues regarding North Korea and other important issues the same way. They could become allies through the culture the two already share with each other, or perhaps they could become allies economically through the business relationship they have. North Korea and the United States could even play a role in the two countries' alliance. Whatever the reason, Japan and South Korea can become allies. Both countries, Japan and South Korea, would benefit from becoming allies with each other.
