A happy wife, two happy children, a dog and a big house with a picket fence and money in the bank. There could be many reasons why these men choose to hide the fact that they are gay or bisexual. In the African American community, being gay is like being sworn. People of African and Caribbean descent believe that being gay is a ticket to death. Being gay is the highest form of disrespect towards families and everyone around them. A gay person gives anyone the right to hit them and make fun of their life choices. I also know that for a Christian man this person would like to hide his being gay because it is illegal for a Christian man to do sinful things like being gay. There are many verses in the Bible that are against being gay, some are (Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is an abomination." 1 Leviticus 20:13, "If c 'is a man who lies with a male like those who lie with a woman, both have committed an abominable act and will surely be put to death.
